Itinerary
Upon your arrival at the Airport/Railway station, you will be met and welcomed by our representative/driver. After around 5 hours of driving, you will reach Gangtok. Check-in into your hotel room and get refreshed. The evening is left to your leisure where you can explore around the street of MG Marg to get acquainted with the local lifestyle and do some shopping. After breakfast gets ready for an adventurous and sublime experience through one of the highest motorable mountain roads to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, and Nathula Pass. * Tsomgo Lake at an elevation of 3753 m above sea level is a pristine and picturesque glacial lake. It offers breath-taking scenic beauty and is one of the holy lakes in Sikkim believed to have healing qualities. It is also home to many migratory birds * Baba Mandir is a holy shrine named after Indian Army captain Harbhajan Singh who died at the early age of 22 in the Indo - Pak war of 1965. He is still believed to be with us even after his tragic death. *Nathula Pass is the second highest pass at an altitude of 4310 m in the Dongkya Range of the Himalayas. It connects Sikkim to China. After breakfast,you will drive towards Pelling. The journey today goes through the scenic landscape, and snow-capped mountain views. On the way stop at Buddha park to witness the 130 feet long statue of Lord Buddha. Pelling is a beautiful town located at the hilltop amidst the pristine surrounding. It offers stunning views of Mt Kangchenjunga and its group of mountains. Upon arrival at Pelling check into the hotel and get refreshed. The evening is on your own where you can explore monasteries to attend evening prayers or stroll the surrounding of Pelling. Overnight at the Hotel.
After breakfast, get ready to explore the beauty of Pelling and its surroundings. You will start with a visit to Kanchenjunga waterfalls, Darap Village, Rimbi waterfalls, Orange Garden and Khechupelri Lake, Rabdentshe Palace ruins, Pemayangtshe Monastery, Skywalk, and Chenrezik statue. * Kanchenjunga waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls with fresh glacial water * Orange Garden is a small picturesque orange garden by the bank of the Rimbi river. * Khechupelri lake is a sacred holy lake amidst the beautiful dense forest. * Pemayangtse monastery is one of the oldest and most renowned monasteries in Sikkim. * Glass skywalk is a new addition in Pelling located opposite the 137 feet long statue of lord Chenrezik Overnight at the Hotel.
After breakfast, drive towards Darjeeling through the gorgeous Goke, Singla, and Takvar, tea garden with beautiful views of the valleys and mountains. Today is a day to explore Darjeeling. Darjeeling sightseeing starts early morning. * Wake up at 4 am to drive to Tiger Hill to witness the spectacular sunrise over the third highest peak in the world Mt Kanchenjunga. It is a sight to behold when the golden lights of the sun hit the peak of Kanchenjunga. * On the way back from Tiger Hill you will visit the Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop. Ghoom monastery is one of the main monasteries in Darjeeling belonging to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect of Buddhism and is famous for its 15 feet statue of Maitreya Buddha. Batasia Loop is one of the picturesque points known for its uphill heritage train track. Upon arrival at the hotel refresh and take a healthy breakfast and leave for another round of sightseeing. * Himalayan Mountaineering Institute is a premier mountaineering institute established in the year 1954 to encourage mountaineering. The institute has a museum, an indoor climbing wall, and give classes and training in Mountaineering. It also has a historic telescope from which you can get a clear view of Mt Kanchenjunga. * Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park Sprawling across 67.56 acres, is home to a variety of species of Himalayan animals including Asiatic black bears, cloud leopards, red pandas, and Tibetan wolves. * Tenzing Rock is a very popular spot among adventure junkies for rock climbing. It is also a rock climbing training location of the Himalayan mountaineering institute. * Tibetan Refugee Centre is a rehabilitation center for the Tibetan refugees started in 1959 for self-reliance over charity. * Japanese Temple and the Peace Pagoda are sacred shrines designed to provide a focus for people of all races to unite for world peace. * Rope Way also known as Rangeet Valley Passenger Cable Car is the best way to enjoy and experience the panoramic views of Darjeeling. Return back and overnight at the Hotel.
Wake up early morning to catch the last glimpse of Mt Kanchenjunga and get blessed. After Breakfast heads back home with wonderful and pleasant memories to cherish forever.
