India's public servant and soldier Baba Harbhajan Singh, popularly known as Hero of Nathula, Breathing, and Walking Soldier. This is because he sacrificed his life in the tender age of 26. His bravery and heroism later earned him the Maha Vir Chakra in September 1967.

His body was found three days later. According to reports, another few guys helped Harbhajan Singh find his body. He once asked a colleague to build a shrine to him.
Harbhajan Singh would walk up to the team three days before launching an attack. At the flag meeting with the Chinese, he even received a special level of respect there and a special chair was reserved for him by the Chinese. Every month, soldiers at Nathula save money in his name and give it to his mother.

The Temple Structure
Over the years the memorial has become a pilgrimage site. Inside the temple, devotees worship a large image of Harbajan Singh. The Office
A purpose-built office on site is believed to be where Harbajan Singh conducts his daily business. Inside, there is an eating area, a bed, his shoes, his uniform.

The Nathula Pass remains closed during the winter season due to heavy snowfall and hence, the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple cannot be visited.

The temple is located on the famous Nathula Pass, 60 km from Gangtok in Sikkim. Private or shared vehicle is available to visit Baba Harbhajan Singh temple. Local jeeps are also available to reach the temple.
Since Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial Temple is near to the Indo-China border, you need to take a Protected Area Permit for visiting.
